Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church

Nestled deep in the Southwest Mountains of North Carolina lies one of God's great creations. The Mount Pleasant Baptist Church sits on a hill, shining the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the surrounding community. This church, among the many churches of the area has prospered over the years, even in the midst of hardship and change to become one of the premier churches of the world. Her belief that everyone is someone in Christ and that every believer should have the opportunity to grow to maturity has led to what you see today.

Under the leadership of her pastors, wise lay people called of God, Mount Pleasant is continuing to touch many lives today. An example is the new worship center and educational building completed in June 2004', which provides 14,000 square feet of space to grow in your Christian walk. Seating almost 400 people, this building is testimony to the willing character of the membership to meet the needs of others and to provide them and their descendants a place to worship. Much deeper than the physical structure beats the heart of people who love the Lord Jesus Christ and each other with a love that will not die, nor be deterred from carrying out the Great Commission of our Lord.
